Melt’s Mission
My name is Leah, and welcome to Melt Massage & Bodywork!
In an overstimulating society that capitalizes off our attention, it's not often we have a moment of privacy to establish a stronger alliance with our inner world. Let this be your reclamation because I'm here to help you capitalize on your inner peace, decode your body's wisdom, and reset your internal algorithm.
I've practiced massage therapy for 15 years, but I'll be a student of body work forever. My approach is intuitive. I listen to what your body tells me and respond with hands that are trained in everything from deep tissue work to visceral manipulation, manual lymphatic drainage, and yin yoga. Every session is different because everybody is different. What you need today might not be what you needed last month. Maybe you're looking for deep work to release years of holding, prepping for or recovering from surgery, relief from your chronic conditions, or something gentler. Maybe you're not sure what would help, and that's completely okay. We can figure it out together.
My goals are to show up for you, to listen to you, and to work in lock-step with you on your treatment objectives. This is your time. Your space. Your healing journey.
About My Journey
I'm grateful for the unified front of positive (pre-social media) influencers who shaped my journey - my grandmother, my mother, and my brigade of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Grandma Salli, born during the Great Depression, was the matriarch of our family and my greatest teacher. I look forward to honoring her legacy of service to others and bringing kindness and hope to our communities and our well being.
While my peers soaked up their pop culture 90s childhoods, I stepped back in time with Grandma who had handwritten instructions just to power on her TV. She volunteered teaching ESL classes to immigrants, served her community without fanfare, carried a plastic bag to pick up litter on our walks, and exhibited a delightfully silly sense of humor. Salli taught me that real strength isn't about fixing people; it's about witnessing them, honoring their experiences, and staying curious (not stuck). To say I had a unique experience in my formative years is a dramatic understatement. I show gratitude, conscientiousness, and integrity because I consistently witnessed the most important people in my life virtuously upholding their values with their sense of humor intact.
